New Dancers
Do I need a partner?
No. Most people come solo, and partners rotate throughout class so everyone gets a chance to dance.
I’ve never danced before. Is that a problem?
Not even a little. Every lesson starts from the basics and builds one step at a time — everyone starts somewhere, and this floor is built for exactly that. Arriving nervous is normal; most people leave smiling, a little more confident, and with at least one new friend.
Do I have to wear cowboy boots?
Only if you want to — boots are welcome, never required. Clean sneakers, dance shoes, and smooth-soled boots all work well; skip flip-flops, heavy work boots, and grippy high-traction soles. The full rundown is inBefore Your First Class.
Can I come alone? What about with a group?
Singles, couples, and whole friend groups all show up — and all fit right in. Coming alone is genuinely common; the rotation means you’re never left standing at the edge.
Is there an age requirement?
Wednesdays at Wild Wing Cafe have no age restrictions. Thursdays at Skateland USA welcome ages 16 and up. Spare Time Greenville nights and Dance Fest are all-ages; guests under 16 must have a parent or guardian present.
Can I just watch first?
You’re welcome to take a few minutes to settle in and watch — but we’ll warmly encourage you to join. It’s easier than it looks from the sideline, and a lot more fun from the floor.
What if I actually love this?
Because chances are — you will.
The Floor & The Community
What’s the community code?
Everyone on this floor should feel safe, respected, and welcome. In practice that means: be kind, respect your partners, mind floor etiquette, ask before trying advanced moves with someone, support beginners, and have fun.
Is there food and drink?
Yes. Spare Time Greenville has a full food and drink menu, and Rhinestone has a dedicated bartender. Guests must be 21 or older to purchase or consume alcohol. Thursdays at Skateland USA feature a new food truck each week.

Practical Details
When and where are the dance nights?
Every Monday — 6:30–10:30 p.m. at Spare Time Greenville. Three lessons, 7–8:30 p.m.. Three lessons plus social dancing. Lessons begin at 7 p.m. and are mixed in through 8:30 p.m.; song requests are welcome all night.
Every Wednesday — 7–11 p.m. at Wild Wing Cafe. Three lessons starting at 7:30 p.m.. Three lessons starting at 7:30 p.m. Song requests played all night. 1025 Woodruff Rd, Greenville, SC 29607.
Every Thursday — 8 p.m.–midnight at Skateland USA. One lesson at 8 p.m.. A new food truck each week. Song requests played all night. 7514 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC 29611.
Fourth Friday · October 23, 2026 — 6:30–11:30 p.m. at Spare Time Greenville. One lesson at 7 p.m.. The final Friday dance night of 2026: a West Coast Swing and Country Swing crossover. One lesson at 7 p.m.; song requests welcome all night.
What does the night cost, and how can I pay?
Wednesdays at Wild Wing Cafe are free all night. Thursdays at Skateland USA are $6. Spare Time Greenville nights are $5 per person for the whole night; pay there at the door with cash, card, Venmo, Cash App, or PayPal.
What happens when the weather turns bad?
Cancellations and schedule changes are posted to our social accounts, and emailed to registered participants whenever possible.
What if I didn’t have a great time?
For weekly line dancing, if you didn’t have a good experience, speak with Kière and she’ll be happy to discuss a refund. Dance Fest passes may be transferred, but are nonrefundable unless Rhinestone cancels the event.
